Since early childhood my mother (Anne-Marie), my aunts (Jeanneau, Renee, Simone), their cousins and in-laws have all told me about Grandpapa Beriau having written a book on weaving. They have always told me this and many other stories with great pride. They would talk about his interests and curiosity about everything, especially handicrafts, dyes, graphic arts, printing processes, and politics. It was always said that he would have been interested in my work in graphic arts, computer graphics and photography. These family stories were the foundation to my interest in tracing my family tree back to Nouvelle-France.
